VBOA Spring Parts Day and Autojumble
Date: Sunday 11 March 2007
Location: The Connexion Exhibition Centre, Leamington Road, Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry, CV8 3FL
Description: A new venue for the third spring parts day & autojumble. Doors open 10.00am. Admission £3 at the door.

Leading Vauxhall tuning and set-up experts Novatech will attend with a mobile rolling road facility. This will be situated adjacent to the main hall in a dedicated part of the car park. For £35 you get three runs and receive a print-out of the best run with a selection of bhp, torque, air flow, power at the flywheel etc., depending on which bits you are interested in. Total Vauxhall Magazine will be covering the event

There will be a dedicated parking area for Vauxhall, Opel and Bedford vehicles

There will be a “cars for sale” viewing area outside the main hall with a board inside the hall to list cars displayed outside or just generally available. This will be a free service to club members.

The hall is now almost full so you are in for a treat. In addition to regular traders, individual club members have so far taken 42 pitches with others still firming up their requirements. This is a great trend as it brings into the market parts which are not seen at regular autojumbles. Call Ian Coomber on 07812 525164 for details.

A “café area” with seating will be set up within the main hall. Hot and cold food will be available from breakfast time to after lunch. A chance to rest, chat and generally catch up with club colleagues.



Directions: The Connexion exhibition and leisure centre is a few miles from Coventry on the A445, just NE of the crossroads with the A423.
The A445 runs SW from the A45 just east of Ryton-on-Dunsmore.
Travelling towards Coventry on the A45, turn left at the new roundabout just before the (old) Peugeot plant at Ryton, onto Leamington Road (A445), over the mini-roundabout and the venue is half a mile up the road on the left. If you get to the roundabout junction with the A423 you have gone too far! VBOA banners will be at the gate.

Subject: VBOA Spring Parts Day & Autojumble

Hi All

Final preparations are in train for the above event. Since my last note we have had a further flurry of activity from people wanting club and autojumble pitches, to the extent that we are now pretty much up to maximum capacity. Clubs represented are now joined by the Chevette Owners Group and we have further entries from members of the DSG, V-ODC, Astra Mk 2s and the Vauxhall Sports Car Club. It seems the event has finally fulfilled its founding purpose of allowing club members to sell their surplus parts and of getting those same parts, often hard to find items, into the market place for the benefit of other owners.

We were selling basic 7 foot wide by 6 foot depth pitches for club members and approx double this frontage pitches to autojumblers and traders. The hall will hold just over 130 of the basic pitches and as of this morning we have sold 127, to 25 different autojumblers and 30 club members.

So we will have a full hall and an intriguingly different selection of things for sale.
