When the Wind doth blow.....

Postby Firenzaboy » Sun Jun 22, 2008 2:30 pm

Hi All,
Heard a crash outside about 9:00 this morning - my trailer, which has been stood up and well chocked up against a concrete fence post in the back yard for over six months now, decided to come crashing down on my firenza :(

I'm positively gutted :(
Oh well, let this be a warning to all - "When the wind doth blow",make sure anything that could fall on your car is out of the way or well secured!
Looks like Billing in a non-Vaux this year now.

Heyup mate! Didn't know you was on here!
I suppose the trailer hit the car in the best possible place really to minimalize the damage (if there is a best place for something to fall on your car  )
Funnily enough, the thought "I'm gonna sell it now  " did go through my head, but only for a minute!
I've backed the Beetle project outta the garage, and Orange is currently residing in there with the snoot....Well, i was gonna pull her off the road soon for the little mods  anyway,so what the heck?!

Now i've put my dummy back in  ,i've pulled the majority of the dent out,and the car's over at my mate's bodyshop for the rest of the repair (bit of pudding and some paint, for i am no sculptor/artist  ).
Got a set of avons finally finished for her,and some nice new tyres on :)

Hopefully should be fitting Bib Spoiler i bought off Andy (Bodyworx) before repair gets painted (kill 2 birds with one stone,so to speak).
Have knocked up a nice new set of Stainless Avon nuts too,so with a bit of luck the firenza should make it to billing after all! :D 8)

Hi Jon :)
I Pulled the majority of the dent out with a slide hammer
Just been down to my mates garage and it's in primer now - he says it'll get painted this afternoon, and he'll buff it up over the weekend at some point,so right now i'm well chuffed :D
See you at Billing mate
