Is it still for sale Fred, and is the colour closer to the photo on the show stand or in your other photos? cheers, Martin. 01677 470875

I am now totally confuse as I posted on here yesterday - so I thought  :!:
I'm afraid the world is getting a very greedy and selfish place. I must remember that not all interest in Viva purchase is for the enjoyment of the marque and participation in driving a cherished classic car.
I have found trying to sell to the Club community is a very slow process so I advertised outside publicly as well.
The guy I sold to seemed genuinely interested and was interested in becoming a club member. He put a deposit down and I agreed to put a new MoT on it.
He sent a recovery firm to collect and it went to North Yorkshire.
It appeared on Cars and Classics on Monday in Walsall - which is just 20 miles from me. An eye watering 85% mark up
Ironically someone wanted to collect their car from storage in my shed and they engaged the same recovery company - they wanted to pick up on Saturday as they were dropping off a car in Walsall !!
I texted purchaser and vented my feelings in no uncertain terms - his reply was that he mentioned it to a friend who he owed a favour, who said he love Vivas so he passed it on to him - he had no idea he was selling it on!
If you believe that load of **Bleep**!!......
His name is Martin Howey Bedale North Yorkshire - remember to avoid him.
This is the 2nd time I have been taken for a ride by a so called Viva lover :imsmiling:
I can only apologise for falling into this trap again will be more wary who I sell to in future - you are never too old to learn! :angrywife:
Regards the advert - for those who might be seriously tempted - note the following

It claims that the History File confirms the low mileage - ask for a look at this history file - when I sold it history went back to 2008! - yes looking at the carpet ware and condition this could support the mileage.

The engine bay was not resprayed with the rest of the car - there is an area round the battery tray where I blew it over with a not too matching gold prior to a proper job at a later time.

The joining seam on the o/s inner to out wing has some sealant pushed into it which may be nothing but may be something more serious.

Slight paint scabbing on front edge of the bonnet also on bottom corner of n/s door.

Spare tyre although looks usable is well out of date.

Inertia seat belts were legal but not for the Viva - they had long rods mounted on the transmission tunnel similar to those in a Metro.

All these things were reflected in the original price.

Known Car dealer who describes himself as a one man band, but seems to have a fair turnover of stock on various online websites
