Red HC Convertible Hampshire

Returning home from Beaulieu Motor Museum in my S74 (half term holiday treat for my nephew :D ), I was astonished to pass a red HC convertible held up in a traffic jam caused by some errant New Forest ponies. I never knew that such a conversion existed, Crayford perhaps? Is this vehicle known to the V.V.O.C? Its appearance was immaculate. 8)

It was a DIY job I believe. Well exexcued and nicely done. I believe the owner posts here occasionally.

There's also this Magnum that sold on Ebay a few months back:

I hadn't realised there were two! Both being red, I thought that there were the same car when I saw the magnum on ebay.

I seem to think I read one of the conversions (Magnum?) was done by an ex-Ford mechanic. I know there's a lot of love for Fords here so take that how you will

As far as I'm aware there are 2 HC convertibles, Dai Sharma from south Wales owns "The Foxy Lady" with roll bar and hood, I own the magnum which has no roll bar or hood. It wasn't me so I'm guessing you saw Dai. Funny how they are both red.

Almost certainly. The vehicle that I encountered had rectangular headlights. Did not get a chance to view the numberplate though. In eight years of Viva ownership I have never passed another HC on a public road. :D
