The springs on the left look like they are variable rate, small diameter wire used at both ends. This will help with the ride as well as raise the car up as you require.

Busy is right, would be nice if I can get get it painted before the end of summer, the springs on the left look almost new, apparently they were replaced with lowered springs so if they're suitable, bonus :D , especially so if they help with the ride

Its coming on nicely :D i thought about using roll pins but figured they would be just as bad to get out, ended up getting some pins made up but with out the nurling, which works a treat.

Bought some new hinge pins from Adrian a while back & will probably use them on the driver's side as there was some movement on it, hopefully the wear is on the hinge pin so new pins will sort it out

Still plodding on with this, finished filling the rear wing & etch primed the repairs
also refitted the drivers door, used new hinge pins but the old pins weren't badly worn, the majority of the wear is on the bottom hinge of the door & there's still a little play but I can live with it
still more filling work to do :(

update, painted the exterior in peacock blue
gave it a couple of coats of cellulose but unfortunately it reacted I a few places so had to put a coat of barcoat on followed by more primer, not sure why it reacted, I thought it may have been the etch primer but it happened in places where I hadn't gone down to metal so maybe the primer I used wasn't compatable, anyway, its moving forward albeit slowly
