Hello from new member in Worcestershire

Postby Crazy Sheep Man » Tue Feb 05, 2019 10:53 pm

Hello all, thanks for adding me to the forum. My interest is in firenza or magnum coupes. My dad bought a firenza 2.3 SL sport new in 1973. I've loved them ever since, my first car was a firenza which I fitted a 2.3L engine to. This was when there were plenty of cars and parts available. Now that the mid life crisis is in full swing my thoughts have turned to owning one again.

Welcome to the Forum in the fullness of time you may consider being a full member - inquiry letter attached - this will allow you to see the members only area of the Forum where members comment on vehicles advertised on the various media sites - availability of Firenzas, E coupes and magnum coupes are limited you may have to scratch the itch to own for a while. To give you an idea of whats about here is a link to Cars and Classics where you get a view of what is on their site and also links to what is on Ebay

Hello Fred and thanks for the information. I'd just missed out on a firenza droop snoot replica on ebay. Probably over cautious on my part. Will keep an eye out on the sites you suggest. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Paul.

One thing to bare in mind is that whilst a Droop Snoot is likely on many of our wish lists, there are other members of the Viva family that are are far more rare these days. It's worth opening up your options as these other cars can be just as fun :)

Its been a while but I finally found what I've been looking for. Just bought this 1975 Magnum coupe, really happy with it! It was originally an 1800, the previous owner had fitted an 1800 zetec engine and Mazda RX8 5 speed gearbox. Not one for the purists but I love it and wont have any qualms about further modifying the car. The body is in amazing rust free condition, with its original from wings and no welding done to the arches or chassis rails! Looks like the original paint on most of the body too! I drove the car away from the seller so I can enjoy it straight away. It came with loads of original parts which I will keep. I'll now be filling out the forms for full club membership. I took it along to the retro rides event at shelsley recently though wouldn't risk the hill

Hello all, I have finally got round to becoming a full member of the owners club. Looking forward to getting out to some shows this year if the restrictions allow!
