Original Viva GT up for auction in NZ...

Postby yoeddynz » Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:25 am

This looks like an honest car. I wonder what it will go for? I'm guessing it'll sell for $20k NZD (that's about 11k sterling pre Brexit, 2k sterling post Brexit) due to the fact that HBs very rarely pop up for sale here, let alone a GT!

Oh hi everyone btw. I'm still a Viva fan. Our HB wagon is still our daily and we love it but I've just been a touch busy recently restoring this wee thing...

Very nice Mk II GT virtually unknown in this sort of unspoilt condition.

Will you be bidding on it Alex?

I managed to secure the last two Sebring silver Mk II GTs I saw advertised for sale in the UK.

This one five years ago -

and this one two years ago -

They WILL both be restored. I will not give up!

Nah I wont be bidding on this. The Imp project, like any good project, has sucked my wallet dry. It now contains moths.

Plus I still have many planned upgrades over time on the HB wagon once I sell the Imp on :-)

Our Viva is the keeper! :-)

I hope it finds its way into the hands of an enthusiast owner who appreciates its rarity.

The advert has been shared on a couple of NZ classic Vauxhall Facebook pages.

I would love to be able to visit New Zealand. Apart from it looking like a stunning country, there seems to be quite a few ultra rare classic Vauxhalls surviving in NZ now extinct here in the UK.
