Excited.... a Viva HC coming back to life

Postby John B the 2nd » Mon Jul 15, 2019 4:10 pm

Hi, I paid a few bob for a 72 Viva as we know prices are inflated but I really like this one and have been waiting 3yrs to find something restore-able and not too far away to get home. The MK4 Cortina well gone and the space waiting for my next and 2nd project. Here we are now with my project with interior stripped and the job started when I bought it. I now have the engine and front running gear off the car and am working in my very small space. I love the resto to be 100% as it left the factory, but on this 2nd one I promised myself to upgrade the wheels and maybe front seats..... we will see. I want this as my daily transport.

I think you can see it here just after it arrived. It looks a lot better than it is on the pic but I will get there in the end. You may be able to see my first resto on the flickr pages as well a Cortina.

Riviera Blue Starfire.... very nice. :)

Adding pictures here is a dark art - and even more difficult to explain how to do it ..... but once you've mastered it it's quite easy.

Very nice, just remember you carnt buy most bits of the shelf like you can with most Fords, supply is getting better, but not great. Keep us informed on progress, start a thread.
