No I live at Lake Shore and Brown's Line - opposite end of town, I had no idea what it is called but googled it and it appears to be called Switches and Thangs.

Great success! Got the Vauxhall started today. Was working on a 1931 model A doing timing and getting it started which was a success so I got motivated to figure out what was keeping my vauxhall from running.

Ended up being the fuel filter which I assumed was working. Bypassed it temporarily and I had to give it acceleration to get it going at first and keep it going. Runs rough but it runs.

Now to replace fuel filter, carb tune up, timing adjust and see where that takes me

Not yet, I'm sure it'll get here but might come in a month lol. Canada post is slow especially getting stuff to the island.

I'll let you know when it does.

No worries, I saw them too late as well. I have a full service manual + suppliment manuals and haynes manual on their way so that should help me

HI Bob, got the steering wheel badge in the mail yesterday. Thanks again. It's in much better shape than mine and now I don't feel bad experimenting with my old one.

Hey all, just wanted to post an update with some progress and photos. I put some of these on the facebook group but not sure who all is on there.

Feedback welcome, I know some of the changes I've made will rub some of you the wrong way but it is what it is haha.

Progress:
All new wiring for the entire vehicle, everything now works, lights, ignition, starter and all. Aftermarket fusebox with 10 slots so I can separate circuits the way I want (12v constant, switched ignition and accessory circuits), relocated vin plate, mounted washer reservoir, new h4 conversion headlights, mounted reverse lights, new k&n air filter, sanded and painted air cleaner housing, general tidying up of engine bay and started spraying engine bay.

Got the car up on ramps/jacks to finish hooking up my fuel lines and fuel filter, going to start on brakes soon and make sure it not only runs but stops haha. Also, will have to get clutch unstuck as it won't go in gear when running. I've read some of the techniques online and will try getting it to release when warmed up but wanted to make sure I have working brakes first!

Hi Nick, glad it got there o.k. Car looks good, and don't worry about the small changes, it's nothing serious, and you do what you have to do to get a car running!

I get more annoyed when cars are chopped and cut to make things fit, or modified!!

Low roofs and wide wheels and flares and all that rubbish!!
Customising is very clever, but it's not for me!!
