Practical Classics Restoration of the year 2020

Postby Fred Dukes » Wed Jan 29, 2020 12:04 pm

Practical Classics are running a comp for the best restoration of the year from 26 of the years published restorations.
Vauxhall figure in 4 of those restorations one of which is Mike Edwards's Sportshatch from the article in the August 19 issue of the magazine. If you feel like helping him towards the Golden Spanner Award then vote for him www.practicalclassics.co.uk/restorer-of-the-year-2020
Mike (droopsnoot on here) has spent many painstaking hours on this restoration and deserves our support and fly the Viva/Firenza Magnum flag :P

Cheers.

When the story was done, I wasn't aware there was anything like this involved in it. I must say the competition here is very strong, and another DSG member in the list - the HSR Chevette which I think is in this months magazine.

Voted for you Mike.

Congratulations on a stunning restoration and looking forward to hopefully seeing you and the Sportshatch at the restoration show at the end of March.

I will be showing my project VX Series 490 on the VX 4/90 Drivers Club stand.

All best,

Colin :)

Cheers Colin.

I haven't got any plans to go to that show - I've done it a couple of times, and it's pretty good, but haven't any plans to go this year.
