Just some little tips:
The screen and the rubber should be as clean as you can get them. Press the rubber firmly on the edge of the screen. Put your string, idealy paracord, into the groove in which the seam of the car sits. Thread it so that you have two ends that meet in the middle of the screen at the top. Then use a few strips of duck tape to hold the rubber to the screen. (When you lift the screen, if the rubber is even slightly slack, it will come away)
A generous wipe of waxoyle (You can use soapy water) around the seam on the car, will help the rubber slip over without too much effort on the string.
Marry then up, and have someone outside the car to keep the screen in place. Remove the tape carefully. Then from the inside find the ends of the string, and pull both ends firmly and evenly. The rubber lip should fold easily over the seam on the car.
Wipe down inside and out. Job done.
Hope this helps

Sometimes, I wonder why I bother, and then for one fleeting moment things will go right for a change.
