Good thinking, you can rebuild the old engine at a later date once you have done the rest :goodideasign:

I was up at the shed for a few hours today and did a bit off poking about found a rust hole in the chassis leg not that big but i need to sort it before i replace the brake and fuel lines that run in front off it

not so bad when this is the only hole in the whole shell

so i started to clean out the original fuel system so i had to remove the petrol tank which sits in the boot

i was expecting to see rot here as this was a comman problem area and my other ha had it replaced completely

the red you see is the original red oxide primer

i am well chuffed

as i said before car is mostly surface rust few wee nastys hideing under the welded on front wings tho

It looks a very original unspoilt car!! :)
Ive a whole new front end if you are making a really nice job of it!!

When you say new front end what do you mean wings ? Slam ? Valance ?

Yes ive all those plus bonnet and inner wings if needed.
Might have a new boot somewhere as well but would have to check that one!!
Oh ive some van sills as well. Not sure the difference between van and car sills!!

managed to get another bit done today most people would run a mile at this first pic but its not all bad

still following on with the surface rust ect any thing i cleaned i painted with red oxide primer :thumb:
