Vivas Found

Postby Kraken » Mon Mar 30, 2015 9:55 am

Was at a scrappy yesterday and saw two white, 2-door HBs, and a blue 2 door HC. There might be more Vivas there, but I didn't have time to look around the whole place, going back on Sunday though

First HB - JBK 813F

The second HB, reg unknown, although I'll have another look on Sunday:

And the HC- NYJ 434K:

If I get a chance I'll flip all the pics the right way up...

I wish we still had scrap yards over here like that!
would there be any possibility you could keep your eye out for a straight off side front bumper iron for my HB?
cheers

No, not a lot left... I know that the last time any cars came into the place was 7 years ago, but something tells me they've been there longer

Very interesting place, can't wait to go back on Sunday!

What exactly do you mean by bumper iron? Got a picture of one?

yer know the two right aged steel arms that the front bumper is bolted to.
There is one either side of the car, bolted by two fixings to the end of the front chassis section and poke thru the front panel. then the front bumper bolts to them. There probably to far gone to be fair and/or impossable to remove without a grinder!

Thanks anyway

Blue HC.

Vehicle make VAUXHALL
Date of first registration 17 November 1971
Cylinder capacity (cc) 1256cc
CO₂Emissions Not available
Fuel type PETROL
Vehicle status Not taxed
Vehicle colour BLUE

Registration number: NYJ 434K
✗ Untaxed

Tax due: 01 November 1991

Think the HB JBK, might have been an SL, only guessing off the wheel trim laid on the floor.
The other HB, anyones guess. Can you tell what model it is when you go back?

I'll keep a look out Steve, I'd like to salvage as much as possible anyway. If I could I would take them all home with me!

Yeah Peter, one was an SL with a red interior I think, can't remember about the other but I'll have a look on Sunday.

Went back today.

First white HB is an SL, definitely JBK 813F.

Second white HB is also an SL, had a good dig around for a number plate, unfortunately I found nothing though.

The blue HC (NYJ 434K) is an SL too.

Then I found these...(forgot to check trim levels though, sorry)

Blue 2 Door... Magnum? - WSA 226L

A Red 2 door HC with tow bar - says SMT on the bootlid? Reg unknown:

And finally, an unidentified 4 door blue HC:

Apologies for the terrible pics... It was sunny for a change, so not only could my camera not see, but I couldn't see what I was doing either...

There are definitely some salvageable pieces in there, which hopefully I'll get a hold of in the near future. Don't think they're going anywhere in a hurry!

And Steve, no bumper irons I'm afraid, or none above ground level anyway!
