switch under the dash?

Can somebody please tell me what the switch under the dash next to the choke lever is for? I've messed about with it loads but it doesnt seem to do anything!

Mine extends the wings and spins up the turbines ready for take off.

That comment caused a tea spitting incident!! Excellent! Wish my button did that,after a bit of fiddling it works again now

After the bacon week end I am looking forward to seeing 1965 and witnessing my own birth... Gonna go back to the future.
