Indicators flashing too fast

Hi All,

My indictators are flashing too fast...as much as they now appear to be in time with the music I play in the car...how do I slow them down again please? Thanks Golden Wonder

probably done this already... but check all your lights, the indicators often go fast when youve got a bulb out somewhere

Points to check:

Flasher unit (if you have a spare, swap it to see if it makes any difference)
Other lights as Matty said
Earths on all the lighting circuit.

If it was one of the indicator lamps gone, I'd expect it to flash slower if it's a standard flasher unit based on a bimetallic strip, just because it will take less current and therefore the strip won't bend as quickly to break the circuit.

Hi..I have found a flasher unit to swop for the one on the car, trouble is I dont know where the flasher unit is to be found. Can anyone tell me please? Thanks

not sure if it varies at all, but it is usually attached to the inside of the drivers side of the car with a clip

stick your head in the drivers footwell and look up towards the back of the dash on the door side of the car and it should be clipped on the side panel there
