Go down the scrappy and get a flasher unit from a Ford Sierra, Fiesta, Escort or a Vauxhall Cavalier or Mk3 Astra or similar. Find your unit by the column and take of the green wire and put it on terminal 49 of the replacement, take the green/brown wire and put it on terminal 49a. This will leave a terminal marked 31, you need to make a short wire link between this terminal and the body of the car, this should give you a regular one flash a second.

Hi Tim, bought my appropriate flasher for £4, going to have a go at it as sson as it gets here, thanks for the advice.

MASSIVE THANKS TO TIM! I bought a mk3 Astra flasher unit and fitted as per instructions, hey presto, constant flashing indicators even with the headlights, blower and anything else I could turn on! :thanx: :respekt:

Glad you got it sorted, its an easy little conversion and makes a load of difference to everyday driving.
