Which Coil and Fuel Pump for late HC

Postby Andrew Morris » Sun Aug 16, 2015 2:36 pm

Hi there,

I need some advice on which coil and fuel pump I need for my late HC please. I have only the 2 wires to my coil and my fuel pumps playing up and finding it difficult to choose a replacement.

1256cc 1978

Thanks for any advice

You need an Accuspark Blue coil if you retain the ballast resistor wire or an Accuspark Red if you bypas the resistance wire (recommended if you are summer driving only and essential is fitting electronic ignition).

Not sure on the 1256 fuel pump, but would think that it is a 2 port type.

Ah thanks did read the post on the HB request. So just to confirm, as I have the ballast resistor wire in the loom, its the blue coil. Cheers, Accuspark are not far from me,

Fuel pumps, any should fit, but you might have to mod the ends of the pipes to suit what ports are on the pump.
