ha temp gauge

am tryign to fit a temp gauge to cheesey it keeps blowing number 2 fuse ever time i try and connect it up any ideas or help would be nice.

Not sure steve other than to say Dont fit a temp gauage then you will not
blow fuse no. 2

No seriously Steve, is the gauge a factory fit one, that goes in the SL,
or an after market "Smiths" type gauge... remebr the car is positive earth
have we sorted earth correctly or is the earth now live?

its still positive earth yeah its an sl temp gauge so help would be nice ta
