Wiring Loom disaster!

Postby rostyles » Mon Mar 10, 2008 9:41 pm

Does anyone know of a company who would undertake making a new wiring loom for the engine bay of my Viva GT. The existing loom is a right mess and I would be better off starting again. Too many bodges over the years unfortunately. FIT ONLY 4 THE BIN!! But not yet as will probably need it for a template.

I did find a company online that stocks all the accessories and the wire to create the loom I have just not got the patience to go with it.

The under-bonnet loom is quite easy to make yourself, Vehicle Wiring Products do all the required cable in proper colours, and loom tape. Until recently you could get all the correct connectors, but now it's just down to finding something similar or NOS bits. I have re-made the looms on both my HCs without any real trouble, you just need a decent size worktop so you can spread it all out.

Sounds like a rainy day job. Thanks for the info, I will give it a go.
