Fuses?

Postby pyoorkate » Sun Apr 06, 2008 2:18 pm

Hey folks,

Where do you get your fuses from? I had the misfortune (through being an idiot) to blow a fuse on the Viva, and having visited the motorfactors, halfords and maplin in Slough I'm not able to source any* (and of course, it turns out that what I thought was a spare fuse, is in fact a blown one)...

Anyone got a recommendation, 'cos I'm thinking I should carry a few spares...

*I did manage to get some 30A fuse wire, so that's been soldered across the fuse for the time being, but the unfortunate thing about that is that if they blow they'll sprinkle magic metal dust all over the inside of the fuse box.

I'd have to check my garage, but I may still have some left. Liberated a load when I was breaking an old XJS, but not sure if I've got any left.

Paul, if you'd not mind sending me a few that'd be grand... Between the Viva and the DAF (no, don't ask) I've got a few jobs to do this summer.
