Paint problem

Postby ShaBro » Wed Jun 18, 2014 10:47 am

My firenza has been undercover outside for a few months now, but when I got it out the other day to give it a wash and wax, I've noticed that there are small microblisters all over the roof and bootlid, and it looks a mess......

What could of caused this, and is it a respray job to remedy it?

cheers
Shaun

Water getting under the cover and sitting on the paint, perhaps? Steve Green at the DSG had the same trouble with his car after the wind blew the garage roof off and it got wet under the cover, with blistering where the cover had been touching the paint.

Thanks Mike, I guess it will have been getting wet underneath as I've notice cat claw marks in the cover

That is what you have said basically micro blistering.

It's trapped water under the paint. Only way to get rid is to strip it all back and repaint.
