Stainless steel sill trims...different types?

Postby Retro morgs » Tue Jul 29, 2014 8:18 pm

Need to pick your brains chaps. I just bought a set of stainless sill trims for an HC to replace the knackered items on my stepdads E saloon and they are a bit different in design and a bit longer than the ones we already had. My question is,do they differ between two and four models?

My parts book only lists two different types, and that's by trim level rather than by body shape - separated as C/D and E/F. But have a look through the 'wanted' posts, someone posted a wants ad for some and it resulted in a discussion about different types.

There are two sets in the club spares in my shed and yes they are differnt - the longer ones have curving out at the ends which folow the contours of the front of the back wheel arch and back of the front wheel arch.
The short ones didnt go that far so are rounded off front and back so there are no sharp edges!
