Hi i am restoring a 1980 Bedford ha van I am having trouble with the colour outside has been repainted and the inside is a greeny grey paint code off of the chassis plate is 3XB

Quick google search for '3xb bedford paint code' brings this page: http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?option ... pic=1699.0 where halfway down it seems to suggest the colour code on 80-84 is called "Cargo Beige".

Another source would be handy as I'm confused by that list suggesting both 6RD and 9RD are 'Cargo Red', when 6RD (for 1976 at least) on Vauxhall was Extra Dark Wine. Unless Vauxhall codes are not the same as Bedford codes, a situation you'd think anyone sensible would avoid even back then.

Chassis plate says 3xb had a spray out done and it is wrong colour the inside of the van and engine bay is a green grey colour more like ebay item number 231308690624 i am confused

A lot of vans were supplied new in primer for companies to paint in own colours, maybe your van is one!

Ok thank you for your help I wanted to keep the van original as I can so I will see if I can borrow some paint chips from local bodyshop and match it up

Thank you I have emailed the form in and sent payment through paypal so should be a member of the club soon, The van reg is EFB 496W bought it as a barn find it was in there for over 20 years
