Bolt on wings
Posted: Sun Apr 12, 2020 9:06 amHi, has anyone bolted their wings on instead of welding them on? if so what did you use, spire nuts or riv nuts? any pics would be great to see location etc

Posted: Sun Apr 12, 2020 10:11 amMy GRP Old Nail front wings are bolted on. I just used stainless M6 bolts, nuts and large washers. I bedded the wings on a thin neoprene sponge strip.

I bolted the wings onto my GT 10 years ago when I restored it along the top in the channels I used dome headed bolts looks good and nobody notices only visible when the bonnet is open the reason I did it that way was that I didn't want to burn the paint off under the edges where they touch the inner wings.
