Paintscheme ideas...

Postby Tigran » Sun Jul 30, 2006 11:13 pm

As title really, have had a couple of ideas done for me by a couple of the retro forums I frequent. The car will deffo be matt black, just pondering what to do with the matt blackness - thought of pinstriping but thought that would be naff on a non hot rod.

I wish I knew how to do that on my computer, at the moment it costs me a fortune to see what old cars would look like when painted and I can't even keep my nails clean lol...

Ceriously I do wish I could do that.

Hey automan - there are a load of people on my ford focus forum, or the retro-rides forum who are excellent with p-chop (I suck at it). You can join up and ask - or if you want to stick in here or PM me what you want to know I can ask for you.

:D

A slightly more 'proper' version of the bee stripe from ye yank beasts of old. This one really tickles my fancy. The side stripe of the other design is way too much RS escort. Although the bonnet would have to be matt.

I am considering what to do with my blue HB estate. I'm not sure to if I should keep it the same colour, though I dont like it or go for black over silver, black over red or a nice bright metalic blue all over. I think that even a nice deep but bright purple may be nice as well. The car is now in gray primer, but I have to wait to put the new wings on the front as the ones that are on it are beyond repair. I wonder what an HB estate would look like in sports-hatch colours. There are pics of the car on the garage section, but probably pics of my new silver one would give your mates something to work with, they are also in the garage section. I would be greatfull if you could ask them to see what they could do.
