Door-to-glass seal replacement help

Hi,

Can someone please clarify for me exactly how to replace the perished door to glass seals on my 1971 Firenza? I have the new seals and clips (7 per door) from the club but they are different from what was originally installed and hopefully someone with knowledge can show me the best/easiest way!

Am I correct in thinking the new clips have to go over the rubber AND the metal of the door from below, involving temporarily taking the window out completely to get enough space to work?

Is there an easier way that I have missed?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

The older style clips held the rubber directly to the door, the new ones hold the rubber to the chrome strips. Its the chrome strips that then hold everything in place.

Worked for me chap, they dont fall off, they are dead easy to manage and its a doddle to fit.

If you know a more complex way of doing it then fire away
