If you want/ have RESPECT.............................. leave it standard

If you want FUN ........................................... Pimp it out !. 8)

It really depends on what look you wish to project.

I've came to a sort of compromise with my estate, it LOOKS like it should/ could have been the way I've built it back in the 70's, but theres a whole new world under the bonnet and everywhere else is packed with modern technology including the paint system (it looks like extra dark wine,, but in the sun ........... its most definately not!).
My car is for both respect and fun, it will be respectable until I tramp on the LOUD PEDAL and the twin 40's kick in, then its fun time!

If it helps Andy here are the paint codes for HA's mine is roulette blue.

http://www.vauxhallviva.com/thecars/hacodes/trimcolour.html

I think its going to be STANDARD!!! sorry to disapoint. I just cannot do it to the little thing.

Maybe if I had the extra £1500 I could go for the engine setup I was on about 150BHP from 1380CC and rear wheel drive sounds like great fun... Gearbox: I forgot the trick is to use a Type 9, the bell housing is avaible off the shelf at charles wares in Brum. Brakes easy to uprate now, custom car kits £300 for HA front end BIG discs and servos, add a few roll bars beef up rear springs to VAN spec, good shocks... Just the rear axle... what would fit that cheap and can handle 150BHP.

Paul,

Brakes.... you seem to know of a big brake kit for HA's ??? £300 ??

More information please - it could save me a lot of extra work for my black one!

Cheers!
Tony

PS, Either I've missed something ???? what engine you thinking that gives 150bhp on 1380cc and mates up to a type 9 with a special bell housing ???
NOSE NOSE!
:P
