Mystery Carb adapter- can you help identify- VM or ?

Postby chopper » Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:45 am

This has been in my garage for years and I`ve never been able to identify it so it that can serve a useful purpose.
Combined wise heads may help with this.
90 deg. adapter.
Bolt holes are 2-7/8" centers, studs are 65mm. centers and 5/16 UNF.
Bore 1-3/8" in the body, flared/relieved at either face end
Face to face is 1-1/8"
Thanks

I am not shure but I think I have seen this part on ford V4. the cologne engine. Very vague though...

I`m guessing but I think this is probably earlier vintage than Ford V4- possibly 1950/60`s era.
I have seen something similar that is said to be an adapter to fit a Zenith downdraught carb ...?
