I take it that this is where you adjust a stromberg from a late 1256, presumably, there's a special tool for this, my question is, how easy is it to knock up a tool to do the job? My thoughts are to cut a castle section in an old socket, or is there an easier way? Image taken off the net

If it's the same as mine (and I think it is), I got a piece of flat steel and filed a drop in the top of it to clear the centre section. It's only the width of the section that turns, but it's enough leverage to turn it.

Thanks for that Mike, I did think after posting that I only need something with 2 flats in order to work
