Two of these absolutely covered in oily dirt!

And the supervisor - just to make sure you are paying attention. :D

Two shots of the same part - in a bag with some large screws, and, curiously, an engine ground wire.

And the handbrake (yes I know) would I be correct that the one with the groovy pistol type grip (the one on the right) is the GT one?

ummm.....ok
first pic is definitely a HB heater valve, and fits on the heater matrix assembly.
second pic look to be a variant of the same, possibly an HC one? not sure on that.
The two plates covered in dirt - nope, no idea, except some later OHV sumps have a similar thing bolted to the underside, cant say i can remember exactly but these could be those.
fourth pic - definitely a grumpy cat
pics 6 and 7 - looks to me that this could be a support bracket for the radiator housing panels on a HB OHV, which might explain the earth strap as they are bolted around this area on the OHV.
Final pic- I'd say the one on the left is definite HB, again not sure, but looks like they will both fit

hope i have been of some help

No, not HC. Definitely a heater valve, but not like a HC one and I think they were all the same.

The handbrake grip on the left of the pic matches my HB SL.

and it's time to revive a thread. Kind of an embarrassing question tonight. I was working at my workbench tonight and there were these two pieces. I have no idea what they are from though most likely the GT. The only clue is that I have recently been working on the steering column and dismantled particularly the signal switch and hazard switch - any thoughts? thanks all!

the left hand piece is metal and has a groove in the outside and the one on the right is plastic

The left looks like half of an HC steering column collet. It sits below the steering wheel to centre it and is held on the column by an O ring, hence the groove. I don't know if the HB's have a similar part.
