So, I went to install the rear shocks today and find myself in a quandry. In a nutshell I have a number of options for the top mount and don't know how to proceed.
In my bags of parts is one side's worth of bushings and washers.

These are the rubber bushings that seem to have a "ring" in the middle almost as though they were intended to be a grommet for a larger hole.

except that if you look closely you will see that the first diagram has no washers between the two bushings while the second and third picture show one on the top of the car body hole.
Needless to say I have none of these bushings. However, I do have bushings.

so, what to do? I can cobble things together, I can, well, I can do as I'm told. I am a little concerned with a metal to metal connection around the hole in the car body - but basically need wisdom,
