I know that Magardsport and VGP both were selling the "proper" bushes, as David said they were pretty expensive and I think they were just the white ones, not sure whether that's clutch or brake pedal.

I used Oilite bushes in mine, without too much modification, just a little thinning down of the lip to make them all fit in the pedal box. I took the majority off the brake pedal as that's under less mechanical pressure. I haven't done much mileage in them yet, so I don't know how well they work.

Pedal box out, quite easy with the driver's seat out. The bushes are split but not too bad, I am going to try and get new ones made, will let you know how it goes.........

Is the clutch pedal bent?

If not, it's worth welding it up anyway - just in case. :goodideasign:

I did some measurements and figured out that it must, these days, be quite easy to find someone online that could machine them to size for not much money if I can give them measurements. That's when I found the Oilite ones, and figured I'd never get a custom one made anywhere near as cheaply.

Are you thinking of remaking them in nylon as per original?

I've had this problem with my HC also.

If you press the clutch while braking then there's a bit of travel (of the pedalbox I think) before the pedal starts to actually move. Let me know how you get on with bushes as I may also be interested in some!

Clutch pedal is not bent but has been modified with the extra washer are you talking about welding an extra piece around the spindle hole as you have done?

I was thinking about nylon however I have contacted Magardsport and they appear to have them in stock so it might be a pointless exercise???

I agree it should not be too difficult to find someone to make them out of nylon, perhaps something for the club to do?

If people have them in stock, is there any point in having more made? Something to look at once the stocks start dwindling, I would imagine, and hopefully those that have them in stock will have this in mind. I have done a few things by taking a mould from the original, but not with stuff that takes a lot of wear like these bushes do. They may well need to be injection moulded, which makes it much more complex.

Got a set of brake and clutch bushes from Magardsport for £20 delivered which I think is very fair.

No point in getting them made if they have them in stock.

Will let you know if they solve the problem.....

Bushes fitted, made a big difference to the pedal movement, a very worthwhile exercise.
