Good spot Stefan.... Early OHC axles had Girling brakes with manual adjusters. The cylinders would look like this

Adjusters like these would be required as well.

I think that they are the same as the OHV brake parts but the springs may be different. So Fred probably has most of the bits in stock either new or secondhand. You'll need handbrake levers too.

Ahh I think we may have cracked it, here are pictures of the axle too!

I think I have the right shoes, probably not the right springs. I may have adjusters will check!

Definitely an OHC axle. You say it's an 1800 but it's more likely be a 2000 as the majority of 1800 used Girling brakes The 1600 used the OHV axle.

That axle has got Girling brakes on an 1800 axle as does my Peggy :? I can do a pair of rear OHC girling cylinders with their retaining clips for £30 delivered. The other things you need to find is the handbrake levers and the springy bit that holds the H pad that goes in the brake shoes   - I foresee a nightmare coming on

OOPS.. I meant Lockheed...

Yes, there were early 1800's with those brakes but the majority were Girling.

BL cars, Triumphs etc used a lot of those brakes and some of the specialists may have all the fiddly missing bits that Fred doesn't have.

Will sort them out with you soon!
I may have some handbrake levers.
Yeah, I may be struggling there. I guess I need the rubber pads as well which are the dust covers!
Do you happen to have a part manual pictures of the items? So I can cross reference. There were a load of parts books I gained when I did the spares! I should have know this!
