Firenza Headlining bars, colour sequence required

Postby OUL 735 L » Sat Feb 25, 2017 2:57 pm

Hi All

Anyone know the colour sequence for the headlining bars on a Firenza. Red,Green,Blue,Black,White.

Have lost my diagram, could probably work one or two out, but rather it was right.

Thanks

Ian

My bodywork manual for Firenza says:

"The roof headlining is supported as on saloon models, except that five list rods are used.

The list rods are installed in the following colour order:

No 1 (front) - black, 2 - white, 3 - green, 4 - blue, 5 - red."

That's a manual from March 1971, I don't know if they changed for later models. If I remember I'll try to look in the later bodywork manual.

For other reference, another edition of the body book says:

On saloons:

No 1 (front) - black, 2 - white, 3 - green, 4 - unpainted.

On estates:

No 1 (front) - yellow, 2 - red, 3 - blue, 4 - orange.

Many thanks for the info, looks like the colours I have will match the sequence.

They are going for media blasting as very rusty, will make sure the coloured end 20mm or so will get taped up, or I will be stuck

Thanks

Ian

I set mine on the back of an off cut of wall paper and drew around them and wrote down the colour next to them. Then when I had cleaned them up I placed them on the drawings to identify them and then repainted the codes on the ends.

why not mark them permanently with 1-5 ? With stamps or something.

Good idea. I doubt you'd be able to put digit stamps on them because of the size, but you could just get a centre punch and put the appropriate number of punches on each one.
