gt twin exhaust

Postby jamezz666 » Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:40 am

Hello everyone

has anybody out there, got a picture of the twin exhaust that was on a mk1 gt?

I'm going to be making up an exhaust, but as much as i want my car close to standard as possible, i keep thinking of a twin exhaust and i just want an idea what it looks like as to the bends ect.

thanks
James

Not a picture but a diagram - from one of the manuals - let me know and I can scan it. (PM me your email if interested)

Here are the Mk I and Mk II systems, James - scanned (but not very well, sorry!) from the late model factory workshop manual. The twin system was fitted to the Mk I model, single system is correct for your later Mk II car.

I had a twin stainless steel system made up for my Mk I a few years ago (2013). It cost £750 at that time and has made a huge difference to the way the car drives. :D

I have managed to collect almost a full genuine system. The only part I do not have is one of the rear mufflers.
