bonnet size question

For the HB are the wagon and coupe bonnets the same?

Should be. There were different bonnets, early and late, but they should be the same size.

I think the coupe reference is to what we call 2 door saloon..

Yup. 2 door coupe - 4 door saloon. next thing you know you will be calling a 4 door car a coupe - and then bada bing bada boom this will be a Mercedes forum! :mrgreen:

Turns out I didn't need to know - they were both rusted through. (not for me BTW)
