service kit

Postby shaun » Fri Oct 20, 2017 5:19 pm

hello.
I'm after a service kit for my 1973 1256 viva SL. (air filter, oil filter, plugs, etc).
I'm struggling to source from my local motorist outlets.
anyone know the best place to get these?
thanks in advance.

I’ve emailed the VVOC about membership, I’m just waiting on their reply as I’m looking to join asap.

All you need to do is have a look at the inquiry letter I have attached above which tells you what the membership gives you - print off the application form and fill in choosing the annual fee which fits your situation and send it off to the membership secretary - that would have been me but I stood down in July and Rachael Jones has taken it on.
As soon as you have joined up let me know what you need

When you can tell me your membership No. - plugs ok - oil filter ok - what type of air filter do you have round, oval, oblong? (pic might help ) - do you need points? AC Delco or Bosch?
Problem is things get changed over the years!

brakes - need to know if they are girling - single piston body slides in the backplate - or Lockheed double piston fixed to the backplate by either 2 bolts or circlip
we don't do electronic ignition conversions but there is plenty of info on the forum under "electrical help"
