Was just wondering If anyone has a mk2 console top section for sale. I never had the upper section and would be interested in one no matter what the condition as I could use it for a template to possibly make one up ty

The console body itself is the same for both Mk I & II. The only difference being the vertical steel plate above the speaker housing - for two instruments in Mk I or just clock in Mk II.
I think the only option might be to take a mould from a console and replicate it in glass fibre.
3D printing is the future for the radio / speaker and handbrake panel inserts - and other rare trim pieces.

I believe you're after what i am after and thats the single clock speaker grille part. I've been trying to find someone, who can lend the part to be 3D printed, but i'm struggling to find someone.
I think the main concern, would be the part getting damaged in the post

I have one James, and I would be happy to lend it to you for 3D printing - if you can do that - but, as you say, I'm concerned about damage. I would need to bring it to you. Same applies with my Mk II console.
I need these parts for my own Mk II GT restoration. But I am willing to help with 3D printing or to provide a cast.
I'm only an hour or so away in Shropshire.

The console I have is out of a mk 1 with the two clocks but the grille area on it is quite badly damaged so would be interested if you can get that area 3D printed and change it to the same as a mark 2. The main bit I need is the top part that has the ignition switch and the other switches in it and covers the area around the handbrake and gear lever
