My only previous restoration experience is my MG Midget. May I say that the GT is a better car in pretty much every respect. The wiring is thicker and more solid. The assemblies are better and more logical.
I realize that the GT was a three year old design whereas by then parts of the Midget were almost 30 years old and, British Leyland were under capitalized while GM seems more solid at least in those days.
Amazing how different though.
