As usual, the lack of rare cars for sale or sold in recent years means CCW are still quoting some very outdated values from many years ago.

E.g, If anyone has a concourse Firenza 2300SL for sale for £6500 I will be there with cash immediately! :lol:

Perhaps more importantly for owners who have not negotiated agreed value insurance, this is the most your insurer will pay out in the event of total loss - and total loss will be much more likely the lower the car's stated value.

That's a very good point Colin. I have got agreed value on my two classics. Having never made a claim on on my Classic insurance I hope it will work as I expect in the event of an accident.

As you say, the higher the agreed or perceived value then there is a higher chance the vehicle will be repaired rather than scrapped.
