A blind man was today ordered by a magistrate to take an extended driving test.

The man (who was not me), was followed by police for half a mile before being stopped. He had successfully negotiated two roundabouts, before swaying into the oposite lane of a road, before the police pulled him over.

He had a friend sitting in the passenger seat, giving him directions/instructions.

The man was found pleaded guilty at court and was given a suspended prison sentance. The man was also ordered to take an extended driving test, because it is the law that somebody who has been convicted of this type of offence should have to take the test. The Magistrate added, my hands are tied.
