South African Firenza V8's

Postby GTpete » Thu Nov 03, 2022 10:05 am

Hi guys, picked up working on my Chevy V8 HB installation. Have bought a Getrag 265 5 speed box (which has a Chevy 1 1/8" 10 spline input shaft) to fit to the engine, but does any one have a photograph of the exhaust manifiolds fitted to SA V8s, were they cast Chevy ones or steel headers?

While looking for this info, came across these manifolds ..

If anyone is considering a similar conversion to their HB/HC, give me a shout....

Rover V8s are nice, but for out and out power, if you want to wheel spin just using the accelerator pedal, 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, the SBC wins every time...

Reminds me of the sound of the car in the film CHRISTINE.
