Modified axle arms?

Postby SL1256 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 2:46 pm

Hi guys&gals,

Im in the process of swapping the 1256 in my HC for something a little more modern and as part of this i plan to go round all the suspension and try to stiffen it up a little bit as well as prob changing the front springs for droopsnoot jobbies. Im interested in strengthening the axle locating arms, i think it was JonHPF on here that did the same with his Firenza but the question i have is this..............do you feel the difference? Take into account if i did the same i would prob go with polybushes in the arms as well.

What does the collective think??

Steve :)

Yes the difference is very noticeable :D I think its the combination of the stiffer arms / poly bushes / anti rolls front and rear plus 205/60 tyres - it handles just as good as my droopsnoot used to - just wish i had a bit more power
