9/16 aren't they? PM me your address, or text me if you've still got my number. I'll see what I can get for you.

Mr B i must say how bloody gorgeous your little HA sounds! Soooooo much better than my "cheap" powerflow side-exit but then i am still running the standard manifold :(

Bad luck on the studs chap

Right new parts collected and all in car ready to drop off at machine shop.

Good things do come out of this, all the pistons are cleaner apart from one that's rather sooty already (will clean them before I put head back on. Its obviously running rich but only in one cylinder so it sounds like a naff plug or lead to me.

Secondly It also gives me the opportunity to show the manifold tongue, that splits the Siamese port.

If plans work out it should have its head back on for the weekend. :imsmiling: :imsmiling:

:hapbirthday3:

took a couple of hours off work this afternoon and popped over to IB Engineering and borrowed the boss for an hour and we now have this:

yes 8 rocker studs and the head all clean and ready to rebuild, so this evening I did just that, and used my new tool :

And after that I cleaned up the head face on the block and got the gasket all sorted, here is the head sat on the block ready for tomorrows fun. bolting it all down and back together:

Needless to say a good clean up a lick of black paint and some careful assemble should look nice when its done, all ready for me to break something else....

We is alive again!!! Just restarted the car, awaiting it warming up before I adjust the tappets again....Wish me luck

<edit> have now adjusted tappets and refitted the rocker cover and air-filter etc, It sounds a lot better. The rain has come again, so I will have a play again later to make sure everything is as it should be. (e.g. no leaks and all fluids where they should be)</edit>

Do you set your valve clearances with the engine running? I just ruin feeler gauges if I try it!
