axle trouble

Welcome to the forum.
1st question is why are you looking to change the axle? You will have decent gearing for the road with the SD1 5 speed box, and as you are starting with a Magnum, you have the larger axle already. I expect it will be fine for everything except drag strips. I expect the limit will be the grip the tires can produce, not the axle giving up.
If you have to go mad, then you can fit the Salisbury 4HA (?) axle used on some Jags and Scimitars, but I know little else about how to do that (HA man....)
Let us know what you planning to use the car for and more tailored answers may come along
