stearing coupling rubber to uj conversion?? HC

Postby black8driver » Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:48 pm

i know its been done lots of times but i cant remember where i read it..
and a search on here comes up with nothing.. :?

what stearing uj do people use to convert from rubber coupling to a uj??? on a hc..
i know i will prob need to mod it as i doubt anything will be a derect replacement but.. if i had a uj with the same spline as the rack on one side that would be a great start...

many thanks in advance chaps...

I used borgeson u/js american made items very nice but pricey! Got mine from pop browns but he aint the cheapest. Have since found them at duksville speed shop for a much better price.

thanks buddy but i was thinking of a cheaper alternative using a "off the shelf" item easily available from a motor factors..
rather like the escort "group 4 conversion" that is actually just a std fiesta item..

so basically any small strong neat little uj with a corisponding spline to the std viva rack would be ideal i can make/lathe/weld up the colem side no it would be nice just to not have to make both sides...

thanks
