Hi Ive got a kit car that uses magnum running gear and I have changed it to coil overs they are Spax front and Gaz rear. Need to do a little trimming on the front of the original spring retaing lip so the coil overs go through easie with front clip off the car. G
It not a vauxhall but it uses lots of vauxhall parts.

Hi,
I have achieved fitting adjustable coilovers to my viva, I used Avo, like SandRockBear says "trim the spring retaing lip" - this is how I did it. I have a section on this in the restoration section under 'HC Viva Resto'.

hope it helps,

cheers

Ive got hold off some coilovers and have now fitted them , but instead off removing the lip and weakening the arm i modified the shock mounting bracket instead so that the coil body doesnt need to go through it .
