Yeah not cheap matey...
Another good reason not to go too low is exhaust clearance. The OHC cars systems are rather low slung, especially where the downpipes come down to meet the rest of the system....even at std height, my 2300 Viva's system still hits some speed bumps if i have 2 people in the car.
Thats where Steve's stainless system comes in...it gives soooo much extra clearance, in fact it runs above the gearbox crossmember. but thats another major fork out of beer vouchers!! It'll last 20 years though i reckon.

Oh i want one of those exhaust's so badly! They look brill and so much better designed/manufactured. I'm just trying to get over that it will only cost £200 less than i paid for the car! I dare say i'll end up buying one at some point,i will def be having one for my firenza project! :D

I take it you wont be needing these springs - no probs cos as Paul says they will cause even more problems - I got mine made up with a nice chap at Springs 2000 - his details are in the supplier section - all 4 springs 120 quid (as per snoot dimensions) 8)
Also fitted a full set of AVO adjustable shocks F + R anti roll bars and everything polybushed .

I can leave many modern cars way behind when going around roundabouts - trouble is they easily overtake me on the straight

The companies not call Springs 2000 anymore and the contact info has been removed from the suppliers links section for some reason. Because of this it took me bloody ages to find them.

They are now called South Yorkshire Springs 01709 375357 the guy you need to speak to is Tony and he has part numbers for all the different heights and specs.

You can only get hold of him in the mornings and he is impossible to get via email even though he said he can reply quicker! :?

As promised and for peoples interest and knowledge, 13x7" et-7 on 195/45r13, lowered 2"

If anyone would also like to see a few pics of behind the wheels so they can make their own minds up about clearances might be with chunky tyres on, see here, http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh14 ... Viva%20HC/

To be honest if you could make a new downpipe and channel the exhaust out of the front wing/sill behind the arch, the ground clearance up to the chassis (new lowest point) is about the same as what I have at the moment to the exhaust. Looking at it, I'm sure it's possible with a lot of modification and fabrication. I know I'm probably going to be crucified for saying this on here, but I'm not half tempted to try it out on the red Viva

Got to say, really dont like the look with the 45 profile tyres.....looks like its running on supermarket trolley wheels.
With 55 or 60 profile better. I like 185 60 front, 205 60 rear.
nick...try minator wheels...they do 14 inch to fit Vivas....not a deep dish really though, but worth a look.
