I think go for it! my vivas rat look matt black ( I bought her that way, and shes staying that way) and at some point i am gonna find a luggage rack for the boot lid. You can buy ammo tin racks that hold 3 or 4 tins, my mate has one bolted onto his tree wagon and he keeps tools and spares in the tins.

Different, not my cup of tea either and I don't think it suits a viva but maybe in the flesh its better, so wont knock it till I see it!

One thing I found with Land Rovers and it applies here, be careful what you want, trying to fit one vehicle to be many things is hard and you do then end up with a vehicle that potentially could be good at nothing eg not particualry good offroad, not really suitable for camping in, and not quite military enough as well as not being good enough for daily use. Not a dig, just some advice, what i'm trying to say it concentrate on one area and do that well before going on the next thing.

Any more info on your drifting??
