Front crossmember is from Magnum, and seller told me that he heard rumor that Magnum was made for road racing. It is really low, maybe to low. And it is really hard. Rear end has original springs in moment and i am looking for lower springs. Maybe Bmw´s.
I didn´t modify the diff tunnel.
There´s no shocks in rear so it is very bouncy, and i tested that will the wheels or rear axle touch something. I was bouncing on trunk really hard and nothing touhced anywere.

That info is interesting ian24ian as didn't know you could get a watts linkage to fit the 240 axle. Been looking into fitting the axle further this weekend and think the best way it to fit/modify a rally designs four link kit for an escort and fit a panhard rod or watts linkage. The springs and shocks in there standard position wouldn't give the best travel. Replacing them with a coil over unit would be far better.

If you ever get a chance to look under the real Alan Mann Escorts, possibly the Mk2 Cortinas too, they have a watts linkage on the bottom of the diff casing, I thing it also helps to lower the roll centre as well, generally I prefer a panhard bar for ease of mounting, the only thing I do thats different is I triangulate the chassis bracket with another bar (bolted in) going from the bottom of the chassis bracket up to the opposite chassis rail, this helps reduce the flexing of the chassis rail, many years ago, I had a chassis rail break away around the panhard bar bracket.
A rotter and a scoundrel, :)
